Support for the development of a national framework for copyrights in Equatorial Guinea voluntary registration of copyrights and related rights
Equatorial Guinea
The main objective of this activity is to support the revision of the copyright law and the establishment of a structure for the collective management of copyright and related rights in Equatorial Guinea. This will be done through the awareness-raising of national stakeholders of the need to protect literary and artistic creations, and the preparation of a national law, in close consultation with them.
The technical assistance will be provided by an external expert, recruited by AfrIPI. The expert will work under the supervision of a EUIPO expert on copyrights, and in close collaboration with OAPI, as well as with national stakeholders.
An awareness-raising workshop will be held prior to drafting the law, and a validation workshop will be held following the completion of the drafting of the law.
