Training on IPR examination practices

AfrIPI provides on demand technical assistance for examiners for trade marks, designs, patents, plant breeder’s rights through online training workshops on substantive examination practices, to meet this challenge, and to engage Member States to raise awareness on the protection of new plant varieties.

This activity has the objective to:

• strengthen the capacity and skills of IP examiners and IP administrators of African IP offices;

• improve the scope and quality of examination of IP applications;

• target capacity building to African IP offices to mainstream the technological tools and the best practices developed and used by EUIPO.
