Africa IP SME Helpdesk webinar: Business-Smart IP Enforcement Strategies for Africa

On 24 January 2023, in collaboration with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) Academy, the Africa IP SME Helpdesk is organising a webinar on business-smart IP enforcement strategies for Africa.
This webinar will outline the key facts and regional dynamics that shape IP enforcement landscapes across Africa, focusing on the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) and the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) regional IP frameworks that together cover 39 African countries.
In addition, a geographical indications expert will provide an overview of the state of play in enforcing these products across the continent, using relevant case studies.
In total, four IP experts from the AfrIPI international cooperation project will provide participants with experienced guidance on pre-litigation market surveillance and due diligence strategies, preparing for litigation, and finally, the post-litigation stage of enforcement remedies.
