AfrIPI takes part in the eighth EU-Nigeria Business Forum

Under the theme ‘Nigeria and the New Economy’, the eighth edition of the EU-Nigeria Business Forum (EUNBF) will take place from 30 June to 1 July 2022 at Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos (Nigeria).
The EUNBF is a platform for the European Union (EU) and Nigerian businesses to increase domestic investments, enhance access to the EU market, and build strategic partnerships.
The Africa IP SME Helpdesk will have a booth at the Access2Market stand at the forum. At this booth, the IP expert, Ms Nta Ekpiken, will give free of charge consultations for the EU SMEs on protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights in Nigeria.
In addition, there will be a panel on geographical indications (GIs), where Dr Monique Bagal, AfrIPI GI expert, will talk about the achievements of AfrIPI in the field of GIs. The panel will also explain the potential benefits of GIs for the Nigerian agricultural sector. Finally, there will be an exhibition dedicated to the agricultural industry, where exhibitors will showcase the potential for GIs in Nigeria.
