The First Workshop on the ARIPO Member and Observer States IP Communication Strategy

AfrIPI, in collaboration with the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), hosted a virtual workshop for Communication Practitioners from ARIPO Member and Observer States and the representatives of the national IP offices on 16 March 2023.

This meeting followed up the Communication Training on the ARIPO Regional Intellectual Property Rights System which took place from 8 to 10 November 2022, in Harare, Zimbabwe. The main goal of the meeting was to get strategic input from the ARIPO Member and Observer States on their expectations and requirements for creating a communication toolbox.

It was agreed that communication materials will be made available to the respective States to help them implement an effective IP communications campaign in their respective regions.

This session is part of Activity 23 ‘Communications training on the ARIPO Regional Intellectual Property Rights System’ of AfrIPI’s third annual workplan. The activity involves two more sessions which will take place before the end of 2023.
