The Second Workshop on the ARIPO Member and Observer States IP Communication Strategy

On 16 June 2023, AfrIPI, in collaboration with the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), hosted the second virtual workshop for communication practitioners at the national intellectual property (IP) offices in ARIPO Member and Observer States.

This workshop followed the first virtual meeting, which took place on 16 March. It aimed to gather strategic input from the communication practitioners of ARIPO Member and Observer States on their expectations and the requirements for creating a communication toolbox.

At the meeting, AfrIPI, ARIPO and media experts presented a customisable communication toolbox to the national IP offices and demonstrated how to use it. The national offices are expected to implement the IP awareness communication strategy using the toolbox on their platforms to increase IP awareness among their stakeholders.

This session is part of activity 23, ‘Communications training on the ARIPO Regional Intellectual Property Rights System’ of AfrIPI’s third annual workplan. The activity involves another session that will take place before the end of 2023.
