Workshop "Women agri-food business in Africa and Europe: benefits in the economy and the sustainable development by promoting the GIs as best practices”
In the last day of the EU-Africa Business Forum (EABF22), Deputy Team Leader of AfrIPI Gregor Schneider, talked on "The EU Strategy for Geographical Indications and cooperation activities for their promotion in Africa - the AfrIPI project activities" during the workshop "Women in agri-food business in Africa and Europe, benefits in the economy, sustainable development, and GI best practices".
The workshop was organized by the National Chamber Network of Women Entrepreneurs of Greece and took place on Friday, 18 February 2022, 10:00-11:30 (CET).
This is the third EABF22 Panel where AfrIPI took part. On Monday, Sand Mba Kalu, Executive Director at Africa International Trade & Commerce Research, and Simbarashe P. Makahamadze, Founder, AllThingsIP Africa shared their expert opinion at the Webinar "Boosting Intercontinental Trade". On Friday, experts from European Commission, AfrIPI team and IP lawyers shared their insights during the Seminar "Intellectual Property in Africa - increasing SMEs competitiveness in a continental market". During the entire week participants visited AfrIPI's booth at the Digital Exhibition Center.
