Awareness-raising on IP: World IP Day 2024
Maputo, Mozambique
This year’s World Intellectual Property Day is of special significance to Mozambique. As the nation celebrates the 20th anniversary of its National IP Office, it is a fitting moment to reflect on the crucial role of intellectual property (IP) in shaping a brighter future.
The theme, ‘IP and the SDGs: Building Our Common Future with Innovation and Creativity,’ perfectly aligns with Mozambique’s milestone. By fostering a robust IP system, the country can empower its citizens, particularly young entrepreneurs and SMEs, to contribute to sustainable development.
AfrIPi will participate as it presents a timely opportunity to:
Raise Awareness of IP: the conference will educate attendees, particularly SMEs, youth, and aspiring entrepreneurs, on the importance of IP in safeguarding creativity, driving innovation, and fuelling business development.
Promote AfrIPI: The conference will highlight the valuable resources and support offered by the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (AfrIPI), including the Africa IP SME Helpdesk.
