The EU-Africa Business Forum 2022 (EABF22) took place from 14 to 18 February. This important event allowed public-private dialogue between the EU and Africa at continental level. It aimed to increase opportunities for sustainable economic cooperation.

This 7th edition brought together African and EU businesses and public leaders from a range of organisations. It included several presentations and discussions on how to improve the investment climate and increase sustainable economic cooperation opportunities.

AfrIPI participated in the forum under the wing of the European Commission at the following:

seminar on ‘Protection of intellectual property in Africa – increasing SMEs competitiveness in a continental market;
workshop on ‘Boosting intercontinental trade’
workshop "Women in agri-food business in Africa and Europe, benefits in the economy, sustainable development, and GI best practices"

The EABF is held every three years back to back with the EU-Africa Summit and is co-organised by the European Union (EU), the African Union Commission (AUC), and African and EU business organisations.
