Legal and technical assistance for the AfCFTA Secretariat for the phase II IPR negotiations

The task force on GIs and plant varieties and the harmonisation of legal language across the annexes took place from 24-28 February and 3-7 March in Kenya. A study visit of the AfCFTA IP Division to the EUIPO and Selected EU IP Offices took place from the 10th to the 18th of March. A final taskforce meeting on capacity building for AfCFTA negotiators is expected to be organised in the course of the year.
