Trade mark and industrial designs guidelines: revision and technical working group participation (Egypt twinning project) (as of Sep 2020)

The twinning project ‘Trademarks and Industrial Designs Office’ was initiated on January 2020 and is scheduled to be implemented over a period of 18 months. The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the protection of trade marks and industrial designs in Egypt. The main expected results are to enhance the capacity of the Egyptian Trademarks and Industrial Designs Office (TIDO); upgrade TIDO’s automated systems and procedures; and raise public awareness on the importance of trade marks and industrial designs.

AfrIPI will support the achievement of the above-mentioned objective and results through technical and legal expertise on the IP-related guidelines and legislation, as well as through capacity building.
