Pan African Lawyers Union: 2022 Annual conference
From 27 to 30 June 2022, the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU), the premier continental forum of and for lawyers and lawyers’ associations in Africa, will be hosting its Annual Conference and Triennial General Assembly. It will be a hybrid event, with the physical sessions taking place at the Mount Meru Hotel and Conference Centre, Arusha, Tanzania, as well as simultaneously online.
Africa IP SME Helpdesk takes part in the 2022 Annual Conference & Triennial General Assembly of the Pan African Lawyers Union, entitled ‘The Africa we want: From aspirations to reality’.
Beata Suwala, Africa IP SME Helpdesk coordinator, will take part in the event to discuss current challenges and perspectives for IP protection in Africa. Furthermore, she will provide more information on how the Helpdesk helps SMEs from the European Union to protect their intellectual property rights in Africa.
The Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU)is the premier continental membership forum of and for individual African lawyers and lawyers’ associations in Africa. Its membership includes over five regional lawyers’ associations, over 54 national lawyers’ associations and over 1 000 individual lawyers spread across Africa and in the diaspora. Together they work to advance the law and the legal profession, the rule of law, good governance, human rights and socio-economic development of the African continent.
