Technical support for the development of the legal framework for GIs in the ARIPO Member States

Organised by the ARIPO with AfrIPI, the second meeting of the ad hoc working group on GIs will take place in Harare, Zimbabwe, on 7-8 September.

Subsequently, AfrIPI will support the ARIPO ad hoc working group on GIs in creating an enabling legal and institutional framework according to international best practices. The consultants’ study report will be presented at the 47th session of the Administrative Council and the 19th session of the Council of Ministers of the ARIPO. This will be held in Gaborone, Botswana, from 20-25 November 2023.
