Technical training on trade marks for examiners, and engagements with IP agents of ARIPO Member States

From 3-5 September 2024, at the ARIPO secretariat in Harare, Zimbabwe, the Africa Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation Project (AfrIPI), in partnership with ARIPO, will conduct training on trade mark examination for trade mark examiners from ARIPO Member States. The main objective of the training is to strengthen trade mark examination skills within the IP offices in the ARIPO region to improve the quality and predictability of examination outcomes.

The training will involve engagement with IP agents from the ARIPO Member States, who are key beneficiaries of trade mark examination outcomes. They will share experiences and views on improving the ARIPO IP system to promote the registration of intellectual property rights within the ARIPO region.
